"Stardust" is a popular song composed in 1927 by Hoagy Carmichael with lyrics added in 1929 by Mitchell Parish. Carmichael first recorded the song in 1927. The breakthrough for the song came on May 16, 1930, when bandleader Isham Jones recorded it as a sentimental ballad
